  A really good teacher, he's got a fresh approach to the topic, and doesn't rush through the material if he sees that the class is not understanding. He's not afraid to cut back on the material in order to improve the learning.

  This guy is the absolute worse. He thinks his students understand everything but he is generally wrong since his explanations are too boring and hard to understand. Also he always says that he likes to give good grades but that is virtually impossible, since his tests are hard as crap My advice AVOID this guy at all costs. You won't learn much in class and it's 200 people so there is really no desire to go."

  A really nice guy, but the class is so boring. He teaches straight from the book. Weekly homework keeps you up with the work. Test can be difficult, so you need to study to do well."

  "Green pants" is a an excellent professor. He basically spoon feeds you. You would have to be a dumb @$$ not to pass his class. He is one of the few professors that is actually funny. I would very much recommend that you print out his old tests from his previous courses. You might be supprised how similar his tests are.

• ch107 "This guy is so hard--he teaches way over your head and has a bad system He gives pop quizzes even though half of the class is failing. Seems quite uncaring too although almost seems like a nice guy in real life."

Dr. Hentz's homeworks and quizzes are not terribly challenging, but if you finish the class with A (which isn't hard if you try), you feel like you know an A's worth of material. He's also a great person to get to know and talk to. Just make sure to RTDQ."

If you want to understand the material (or want a decent grade), take someone else. The only reason I took her is that she was the only teacher for Organic in the off semesters that year."

  The worst teacher I have ever had! She makes a class that could be challenging and somewhat interesting a NIGHTMARE!! DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASSES TAUGHT BY THIS WOMAN! The class averages on the past two Organic Chemistry 221 tests were not above 55!! AND SHE WILL NOT CURVE!! SOMEONE FROM NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY NEEDS TO EVALUATE THIS WOMAN'S TEACING ABILITIES. CLEARLY, A DEGREE FROM HARVARD DOES NOT MAKE THIS WOMAN FIT TO TEACH...SHE MAY BE INTELLIGENT BUT SHE IS NOT A TEACHER!! BEWARE!"
• CH 223, I took the class in Spring 2000. I give this teacher a 3 out of 4, my grade in the class was B.
  An excellent professor, who definately knows her stuff. She is very hard though, and will expect you to know everthing she goes over. All the tests are comprehensive, and you can't really miss a step. She is more than willing to help you during office hours, and will go out of her way to accomodate you if you can't make them. I recommend her, but be prepared to work.

Here is a BIG HINT! --> Try to become one of his lab assistants, TA's or whatever that will bring you in contact with him on a first name basis. He will take your test out of the pile to be graded by his graduate students and grade it much easier than the rest of the class. Basically, you won't be thrown to the wolves (ie grad students) when the test is being graded."
