  Lectures are extremely boring. Does not care if you sleep. His lectures are meaningless. You should learn the stuff on your own."

• Fall97 "He's an awesome teacher, really funny and knowledgeable. He wrote the text book and he teaches right from it so studying is pretty easy. The class sucks, however... very boring and it's in a big lecture hall, so the incentive to go isn't really there"
• Spring99 EC205 "My grade in the class was C.
  Well, I liked him at first. But then I tried to talk to him and he was a real ass. He could care less about your grade...all of his tests are multiple choice, so he makes it easy for you to get a bad grade. He wrote the book, so he's very knowledgable about the topic. However, he has the most boring class, as he teaches straight from the book. Don't go. He doesn't care. "

• Fall97 - "A wonderful teacher. Class can get a little boring sometimes but that is because of the material, not the the teaching. He is fun in class and uses modern examples for class study. He is active in econimics and readily shares his latest contributions. An excellent teacher, take him for sure!!"

• "He has just created his own new course (EC 348 International Economics) which will be offered for the first time next fall (Fall96). It will cover material that is now spread over both 448 and 449 at a slightly more accessible analytical level. It is primarily designed for non-majors and minors. Then, next Spring, he'll teach EC 375 (Comparative Economic Systems) which will also be internationally oriented, but will focus on issues of political economy and what we know (and don't know) about economic growth and prosperity."
