"He is kind of Spastic, but he explains the material well by working examples from the book. The exam questions are very similar to examples he worked in class, and he tells you the exact types of problems that will be on his tests. No curve balls thrown at you here."

Dr. Edwards explains concepts well. He goes over all HW problems. His tests are straight forward. He was helpful after class. Plus I hear he adds a generous curve. I would recommend him."

mae415 "If you can stand to "literally" teach yourself, he is good. His test and projects are easy and fair compared to the other instructors. However, is grading on the projects is very subjective and can result in a low grade if he disagrees with your work. "

Dr. Johnson is a very enthusiastic professor and he presents the material so that you can understand it. He is always willing to help you outside of class whenever you come to his office - A great professor - take him whenever you can !"

He is a good guy, but his accent is somewhat hard to understand. He will work an extremely hard example for the period of one class, losing most of the people along the way. However, he seems to care alot, and holds several sessions a week for extra help."

Fall97 - "Incredibly hard tests. Will refuse to help you during office hours. This cat is bad news!"
Fall97 - "Dr Keltie is one of those guys that will buy you a beer and then turn around and fail you without a thought. His tests, although somewhat indicative of the homework, are the kind that catch you off gaurd. They are actually harder than the homework problems. He all but refuses to help you during office hours. Get a tutor."
Fall98 "My grade in the class was B.
Very, very hard teacher. He will fail you in a heartbeat. He does not give away grades and only helps you on homework,etc. if you know exactly what you are doing. This makes you think before you ask him for help. I enjoy challenges so I think he is a decent professor."

Spring98 "My grade in the class was F.
He mocks the students and offers no help for anyone who asks for it. Refused to curve even though 47% of the class in the spring 98 semester failed the class. He reads the book the night before for his lecture notes. He assigns way too much homework; yet, his tests don't resemble any of the homework (much harder)."

Fall97 "He is a very nice person and funny guy. BUT... He cannot teach very well. He does one probalem in class and assigns you 8-12 that have nothing to do with the problem on the test. As far as tests....Can you say 55 class average? Not sure how he curves, but for those who take him, you better already know some of the material!!"

"He is a decent professor and not a very difficult grader. The tests are fair and representative of the material he teaches. "
"Dr. Ram is nice enough, but sometimes goes too fast in class; he has gotten better about this as the semester has continued. Grading on the tests is harsh in my opinion - he really does not give much partial credit. Seems somewhat uncomfortable with a woman going to his office for help, but that seems to decrease somewhat each time. After all this said, I would not mind having him again for another course."

Spring98 "He is a little hard to rate: usually not very combative, is often unclear what he wants for assignments and test questions, gives hard tests, probably curves because the final is so hard."
Boles= good instructor but challenging tests; entertaining; doesn't mind being challenged himself
Klienstruerer= test are impossible and if he weren't such a good instructor he'd be one of the bad guys
