"He does not give enought time to class discusion, which would most likely make the class a lot better. Tests and quizes are relatively easy, but figuring out what he wants on an essay is almost impossible. Sometimes hard to stay awake"

Spring 98 "My grade in the class was A+.
This professor does not appear to believe that any of the students in his class are capable of making any valuable comments. Especially in the cases where the student disagrees with the textbook, he will talk around the comment for ten minutes, and then ten minutes later, when he assumes that everyone has forgotten who made the comment in the first place, he will reword it and make the same exact comment himself. Tests are easy at least, and he gives credit for class participation without counting off if you are too shy to speak out in class. I would not reccommend this teacher to anyone who feels inclined to make comments in class and then have the teacher dismiss them as being wrong."

Class : PHI205, I took the class in Spring, 1999. I give this teacher a 4 out of 4, my grade in the class was B+.
"I was taking Metaphysics with Will Carter but I dropped it because he was kinda boring and took Dr. Palmer's class instead. This class has been the most interesting of my semster and the funniest. Dr. Palmer is very knowledgeble and his lectures are alive and full of wry humor...unlike other philosophy professors who tend to mutter and tend to push their class to only their point of view."

Class : PHI205, I took the class in Spring, 1999. I give this teacher a 4 out of 4, my grade in the class was A-.
"Dr. Savage is a strange, but entertaining character. He has good command of his subject and is also open to input from others and open discussions with the class. His lectures tend to follow a sometimes odd stream of consciousness, but he always wraps things up well. The assignments and grading are not well organized, but then again we are talking about philosophy."

"I have NEVER come close to falling asleep in class before taking this guy. His lectures are BORING, his tests are hard. A 5 page paper was part of his requirements. DON'T TAKE HIM!"
