Dr. Cunningham
Psy 200
Fall97 "He is very boring, but he knows his stuff. It is the easiest class if you just write down what he writes during class. EASY."
Fall97 "Agreed, just take good notes, skim the actual chapter for any vocabulary words he didn't mention, and you're set! Toughest part (usually) is staying awake to get the notes. Nice guy."
Spring 98 "My grade in the class was A.
Horrible stories and jokes (obviously prepared), but easy if you can stay awake."

"she doesn't really review the material very well in her psychology of gender class or her developmental psychology class...I would not recommend taking this teacher, it's almost as if she knows the material TOO well, and has a hard time communicating it to her students."

T Jackson
PSY200
Fall98 "My grade in the class was B.
Though she was a replacement for our original teacher, she knew how to teach PSY. Lots of real life applications used to drive home academic points. In a class of 200, she knew most of our names. Kind of hyper but I liked her class. No need to read book or even study to get a B or better. RECOMMENDED HIGHLY!!!!"

Kalat

Spring98 "Yes, he wrote the book, but he's still a good teacher. He makes things intresting, even in a 200 person class. Uses a lot a slides. If you goto class, and pay attention, it's easy to make an 'A' without much effort. Tests are the main thing that counts and they are all multipul choice. Attendance helps you (grade wise) and doesn't coun't against you."

Marcia Y. Bingham

"This is probably the easiest class that I have ever taken. The class is taught by two different professors (each taking quarter). Bingham was pretty good, but Luginbuhl was terrible. If you take this class, be sure to bring a pillow."

David W. Martin
Psy 200
"He is very funny, and his lectures are very interesting. His tests are very decent."
"His lectures are very interesting and educational. His sense of humor definitely helps to stimulate his lectures. His tests are fair enough so that as long you pay attention during his lectures you are guaranteed to do fine."
"Fall 1998 . I give this teacher a 4 out of 4, my grade in the class was A+.
Really tries to make class interesting. Give bonus points for fewer than 3 unexcused absences (though you lose points for more), up to 2.5 points on your final grade for perfect attendance, which could be pretty significant. Gives three 40-question multiple-choice tests which aren't too hard if you come to class and pay attention. No final exam (the third test is taken during the time scheduled for the final, but it's not cumulative and it counts the same as the other two). Provides you with an excellent study guide. Class attendance is pretty important since not only can it directly affect your numerical average, but the tests are almost totally from lecture. Is pretty lenient on what gets you an A, what gets you a B, etc. Dr. Martin is not only very knowledgable (he's the department head), but is also an excellent _teacher_. Overall, a good guy who's not too tough. I recommend him highly."

Rupert Nacoste
Psy 200
"He's cool and he makes class pretty interesting"
"Excellent teacher, will wave to you at the state fair and smile"
"Nacoste is the ONLY teacher to take for PSY200! He is intelligent, funny as hell, and a very fair tester. He uses slides instead of a white board so there's no handwriting to decipher, and NOBODY has trouble hearing him, even in a 250 seat lecture hall! Nacoste made the course material very interesting and enjoyable. Easily one of the best teachers I have ever had."
Fall97 "Great fun during most of classes! Will repeat what you missed during note taking. Leaves plenty of time for Q&A."
Spring 98 "My grade in the class was A.
Dr. Nacoste's class is fun. He makes psychology interesting and his tests are primarily from lecture material only, you don't have to even buy the book. Take him for PSY200!!!"

Dr. Street
Psy 410
Fall 97 - "Much respect goes for Dr. Street. Although the material is has to present is boring, she makes class worth going to and her tests are difficult but fair. She's a great person and is willing to talk after class or answer any questions you have regardless of how stupid you may think the question is. Any class she teaches is worth taking."
