SPRING 98 "My grade in the class was A.
This man usually does not seem to know what he is talking about, and when he does know, he gives too many details. Although tests are relatively easy, his notes are not on the web, and he goes through lecture material way too quickly at times. The man has been lecturing for the entire semester and still has not figured out how to adjust the lighting in the class so that the students can easily see the material on the screen. Another scary thing is that the man is an advisor and is not aware of the existence of scholars credit, nor will he allow anyone to attempt to earn it by completing any additional requirements. If you can avoid this class, do so. One good thing however, is that he does not take attendance frequently and gives occasional quizzes to allow students to earn extra points on their final grades."
Zo160, I took the class in Spring 2000. I give this teacher a 3 out of 4, my grade in the class was A.
"Don't be too harsh on Dr. Borski. He is a very challenging prof, but he knows what he is talking about. He really does care about how his students do, but he expects them to put forth the effort to do well. If you study the material, his class is very fair."

"Very hard. Tests are unfair, even T.A.s think so. Avoid if you can"
"Needs to loosen up some, way to strict and the tests are completely OUT THERE!! I mean, we are humans after all...not computers!!!"
"He is just way too hard. The tests he gives are out there...I don't think I remember him teaching half the stuff. He gives lots of facts but asks questions about them on the test that no one knows about. Like similarities between phylums that he never mentioned, for example. Expects us to know way too much for a second level bio course. One good thing is that he puts his noted online, since he goes over them too fast in class!! Do not take this man if you have any choice/respect for your GPA!"
"I do not agree with the other comments about Dr. Mozley. He is an extremely intelligent man who attempts to broaden his students' knowledge about the extremely broad category of general zoology. Many students find his class hard because he requires them to actually think, something that at that level usually has not been required of them yet. We are in college to learn, and Dr. Mozley does an excellent job of sharing his vast knowledge. He is always available for help, which is very important. I am a graduating senior and I believe that I got more out of that class than any other. Do not let other people who want to coast through their education deter you from taking his class, for you will learn a lot and be better prepared for your upcoming classes."
Fabll98 zo150 "My grade in the class was B.
I agree that these comments are a bit unfair. He does lecture a bit fast but he really knows his material. The tests are very difficult but if you use the study tools that he gives you you will do fine. I think students just have a problem with him because he makes you put in a lot of work and effort. Besides, the majority of his test questions come from previous tests that he has on reserve. Study and you will do fine."
Fall98 "My grade in the class was B+.
Dr. Mozley was a great teacher. His class was very interesting but challenging. He gets really involved in the lectures and tries to broaden his students understanding of basic zoology."

"He knows his material and thinks that everyone else knows just as much as he does. He is very monotone but has his funny moments when he makes a joke or two about himself. I wish I could say avoid him, but you can't because he's the only chap that teaches ZO 205 and 208 (I only think on 208)."
